Josh O’Gara of First American Insurance Underwriters earns ChFC Designation

Needham, MA (July 6, 2011) - Josh O’Gara, CLU, of Boston, a brokerage manager at First American Insurance Underwriters of Needham, MA, has successfully passed the qualifying tests for the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation.

O’Gara joined First American in 2008 in a sales support position and was later promoted to brokerage manager, coaching producers in life insurance, annuities, disability insurance and long-term care insurance.

In 2010, O’Gara received the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation from the American College, a program that covers knowledge of life and health insurance, pension planning, insurance law, income taxation, investment financial and estate planning and group benefits.  O’Gara holds a BA in Economics from St. Lawrence University.
